Here is one of the pieces I put together today. One of my more complicated efforts of late and not my usual pink/green/red/black colour scheme… it’s a gift for a friend.

I needed some bead therapy today after a very full day in the Nepean yesterday searching for family history material. The day started off with a river cruise to get a feel for what it was like when my great-great-great grandfather ran river boat cruises on the Nepean River back in the day (they started running the boat in August 1898). According to the Nepean Times of August 6 1898 the boat was a steam launch able to carry 200 passengers, however “with but 100 passengers there will be room for dancing on either deck”. Found some really great stuff at Penrith City Library that will save me a lot of time in the long-run.
