A couple of part-days chasing around Edinburgh new town and I present you with images from the real-life places of the 44 Scotland Street series by Alexander McCall Smith.
To set the recpord straight, there is no number 44. On the even side it goes to 28, and on the odd side to number 43. The area is very nice and quiet.
Moray Place is gorgeous, almost a gated neighbourhood. Very posh, with a mix of commercial and residential uses evident there.
The Queen Street gardens are huge!
All in all a really nice area, and some properties for lease... I wish.
No sign of dogs drinking beer, but I didn't go into the Cumberland Bar, just walked past.
