Prague Public Transport - a tribute

Last Sunday, a bit over a week ago, I took myself off to the Public Transport Museum, milled around checking out old buses and trams and then caught historic tram no 91 to the end of it's line at Vystavista. Here is my report... At the museum there was this guy walking around with a video camera shooting everything. I suspect he was a British trainspotter because: 1. he had the English language brochure for the museum, 2. he had a very close resemblance to a former colleague (MC for those in the know, almost like they could have been brothers, I even did a double take) who was very English.

Prices, you have to pay extra for this one but at 25kc per hour/ride it's so much cheaper than the trolley to Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco ($US5 per ride).

Metro, Lesser town.

Up, up and away. There are always 3 escalators and usually one is closed off.

Mustek, my main station for going into Prague, changing station for green and yellow lines.

Really easy to find where you are and where to go. Locate current station on board, determine where you want to go and follow arrow left or right to correct side of platform. No indicator boards, at all, no times. No obvious timetables. Nonetheless you never wait very long, 8 mins max on weekends. 4 mins weekdays.
