After 4 months back in normal life mode, it was high time for a change of scene. I packed up my itchy feet, a new suitcase filled with most items on the universal packing list (see http://upl.codeq.info/ for a similar application to the static list I modify each time I go away, anything from a weekend to a big trip) and my bestest travelling buddy and set out to maximise the xmas break.

Fifteen hours after I'd clocked off for the year we were at the international terminal ready to head off into the sunset (or as it would turn out, one really nice sunset in a week of tropical afternoon storms).

Seven hours later and we arrive in Papeete to a balmy evening and the scent of Tiare Gardenias.
